Event Details:
Event Description:
The Oregon Army National Guard range restoration project at Camp Withycombe is an example of incorporating Army, Army National Guard, and State of Oregon Green Remediation Strategies into a coordinated action plan. The use of the land for firing ranges resulted in heavy lead contamination. The green remediation strategy led to removal of 300 tons of bullets for recycling and reclamation of 10,000 tons of soil for reuse. Speakers will discuss the feasibility study, choices, and execution of this project.
